From cost reduction to increased inclusion by AI generated translations

Johans team implemented AI generated for the internal IT support in 2019, making them independent of languages. It enabled a cost reduction and got co-workers from all parts of Ingka group, approx 165 000, to communicate with IT support in their preferred language. This was the stepping stone to the journey where Johans team, Global Language Services (GLS), today translates the Intranet on the fly and support translations of customer facing content. Next step is to further facilitate language handling using generative AI, where GLS implement disruptive technologies to further increase inclusion in co-workers and customer communication.
